Students earn degrees through a variety of rigorous academic methods,
including documenting college-level knowledge they may already have
and by completing independent study courses. Creating learning opportunities
for adults, AIU is a national leader in the assessment of adult learning
and a pioneer in the use of advanced non-traditional educational techniques.
1) Adults need to know why they need to learn something 2) Adults need to learn experientially. 3) Adults approach learning as problem-solving, 4) Adults learn best when the topic is of immediate value. 5. Motivation to learn: As a person matures the motivation to learn
is internal. |

The Time / Distance / Money equation solved! Working Adults who maintain continuing education as a goal are well aware of the Academic Dilemma arising between professional commitments and academic requirements. By removing time as an element of the Academic Program, you work at your pace when time and life allow. Assessment is based on thoroughness and excellence; students are given the time required to fully complete academic requirements. There is no commuting to late evening or weekend classes, your program is Distance Learning based (no class attendance). With regards to Money, the University’s Finance Department can work with almost everyone to fit any budget. Truly, AIU provides the last best chance for working adults to achieve academic excellence. |
