I thought that I was well educated before I enrolled at the AIU for my PhD but the challenges that I met there proved me wrong.
One of such challenges was the designing of my course curriculum based on what I wanted to study for my PhD. This is a unique phenomenon that is not available in most traditional universities.
At AIU, I was disciplined to think methodically and strategically and I went through my courses in this manner.
I applaud the student services department which was manned by dedicated staff who were always ready to help. I called them 24/7 and they were there attentive and calm, never complaining; this made me feel that, I was not alone.
The virtual library of the University has very good and up to date material. There is virtually no topic that one cannot research into with the availability of resources in the library.
My Mentor/advisor was strict but fair, ensuring that standards were met and kept.
In fact, I recommend the AIU to any returning adult to Academic Education Worldwide. This is why I am going to apply to be their Representative in Nigeria/Africa come year 2010, when my Private University becomes operational.
I have every reason to be thankful to AIU who helped to crown my ambitious efforts by their well thought through system of self education and enhancement.
Thank you for the opportunity to express my views on AIU.
