Ricardo Velásquez Ramírez’s academic and professional career began with a passion for justice and a sincere commitment to the rigours of intellectual work and study. At the San Luis Gonzaga National University, he received his Law Degree - the first step in what would be an outstanding career in the field of law and academia.

Velásquez once again took on additional work and completed a Master of Constitutional Law at the Federico Villarreal National University. This study laid the resources for Velásquez’s deep and sustained commitment to the theory of law and the Constitutional process.

His disciplinary diligence drove him to earn not one, but two Doctorates - a Doctorate of Law from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (Mexico) and a Doctorate of Political Science from the Atlantic International University (AIU) in the USA. At the AIU, he was able to choose a more global perspective on politics - governance, justice and human rights, which aligned with the university’s philosophy of academic freedom, self-directed learning, and education for an important purpose.

Alongside his studies, Velásquez conducted Doctoral study in Philosophy, at San Marcos National University, and prepared study in Constitutional Law, Transnationality and Law Production - at the University of Vale do Itajaí in Brazil. A moral philosopher in spirit, Velásquez remains committed to searching for perspectives that provide a deeper understanding of critical issues facing human rights. He is currently enrolled in a Master in Legal Argumentation at the University of Alicante, Spain.His worldwide academic endeavors across Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, and the USA have formed him as a transdisciplinary professional with an unusual combination of practical understanding and theoretical understanding in constitutional law, political science, philosophy, and reasoning in law.
