Special Degree Validation Process
Explore the possibility of validating your AIU degree at an international university with governmental recognition.
AIU offers a Special Project that allows qualified students who meet the established requirements to be eligible for a Dual Degree, meaning they would obtain a degree from AIU as well as one from an International University with governmental recognition.
That’s why AIU offers a Special Project that allows qualified students who meet the established requirements to be eligible for a Dual Degree, meaning they would obtain a degree from AIU as well as one from an International University with governmental recognition.
General Requirements
- Completion of 100% of the previous degree program, with the corresponding university degree and transcript (for Bachelor’s programs, a High School Diploma is required; for Master’s programs, a previous Bachelor’s degree is required; for Doctorate programs, a previous Master’s degree is required).
- Completion of the International University’s curriculum. This can be done through AIU following the Andragogic Model; however, at the end of the program, the student must present a transcript equivalent to that of the International University.
- Original Birth Certificate
- A letter signed by the student requesting the initiation of the process, including a statement that the International University is not responsible for any future procedures related to the degree issued or the outcome of such procedures.
- Payment of the agreed fees to AIU and the International University
Generally, it is established that the period to complete the validation process and issue the corresponding degree is approximately 3 years from when the student has met the general requirements and has been formally enrolled as a student at the International University.
