The story of my academic journey at AIU: “from humble beginnings to International recognition”
My PhD journey at the university has been quite transformative and intellectually enriching. From the onset, my interaction with my Admission Counsellor was interesting and captivating.
One of the interesting and outstanding aspects of this journey was the exceptional support and mentorship. From my academic advisor, professors and tutors, they were very supportive and approachable and always willing to offer constructive feedback. They consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to student success. Their timely feedback consistently encouraged me especially during moments of academic fatigue, where they would keep me motivated and focused.
While completing degree (PhD), I also discovered my enthusiasm for Public Health as I incorporated my study to the sustainable development goals of the UN, which amongst others include ethical considerations and fundamental rights to a safe and healthy working environment.
This PhD has equipped me with knowledge, skills and confidence to pursue my future goals with enthusiasm and determination. I am excited to embark on the next chapter of my career and contribute to the field of governance in occupational health with the foundation I have built at Atlantic International University.
In particular, I am profoundly grateful to Professor Lambert, whose mentorship made a remarkable difference throughout my Doctoral studies. Prof Lambert’s guidance extended far beyond academic supervision. He offered me strategic insights that did not only refined my research but made me a complete better person academically and otherwise, his genuine interest in my academic development included my personal well-being as well. He would take his time to discuss my academic profile. His encouragement is coupled with his calm and respectful demeanour.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support and belief in my potential. I will always cherish my time at Atlantic International University.
I thank you all.
Dr. Bella Sepalamelo.
