The Bachelor in Educational Technology at Atlantic International University (AIU) consists of core courses and topics that provide students with an essential groundwork in Pedagogy, Instructional Design, and Digital Innovation. Students taking out a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology will have the support of orientation courses so that they are able to easily adapt as they begin their college careers with University Learning and a focus on Building a Strong Digital Learning Foundation, Developing Academic Skills and Becoming an Independent Learning Learner. As part of the research initiatives around Educational Technology, they enable students to investigate how digitally led methods, based on established theories of learning, accompanied by new advances in technology, can better support teaching practices, enhance the learning experience and expand access to education. Student(s), through the processes involved, carry out supported, hands-on inquiry, involving designing, implementing, and assessing the effectiveness of technology-enhanced learning methodologies (e.g., online learning, mobile learning, and digital assessment and evaluation tools; mobile learning).
Educational technology bachelor students produce innovative solutions for real-world educational issues that exist in various types of environments whilst providing them an opportunity to develop critical research skills, an innovation mentality and skills in evidence-based problem-solving.
Publication – Student publications in the field of Educational Technology provide learners with the opportunity to display their research, innovations and critical experiences on the use of technology in education through academic journals, digital repositories, blogs, along with conference-styled publishing. As such, students publish articles, case studies, instructional designs, and educational technology program research findings based on E-learning, instructional technology, digital pedagogies, learning analytics and other newly emerging educational technologies. The Bachelor in Educational Technology culminates in the thesis defense. At this event, students will present their research or applied project to an Academic Review Panel to demonstrate that they can explain how their research was designed, what they found, and what technological solutions they developed.

Each year AIU organizes graduation ceremonies where the students can assist and share their experiences with fellow students and academic members Participation in the ceremony is optional, the day’s events include conferences, research presentations, group meetings, networking, lunch and formal dinner.

Entry-level students must have completed a secondary or equivalent level of education, be interested in some capacity in education, technology or digital learning innovation, and demonstrate interest in pursuing an educational technology major. The admission process focuses on the student’s level of motivation, the motivation to pursue self-directed and AI-assisted learning, the ability to participate in an online academic environment, and the previous exposure to computers and digital tools.
