Human Rights and the AIU Pledge are central to the AIU philosophy and mission. They are included in the university mission statement defined in 1998. MISSION: to be a higher learning institution concerned about generating cultural development alternatives in order to lead to a more efficient administration of the world village and its environment. We aim to do this by exerting human and community rights through diversity with the ultimate goal of the evolution of the world.
The AIU Pledge is a commitment witnessed by fellow students. By taking the Pledge, you make a commitment to do everything in your power to implement a sustainable solution to a key problem(s) that you identify in your community, industry, country, or the world. By identifying your unique and unrepeatable talents and skills while adding and complementing those which you lack during the academic program to then empower them to bring to bear such solutions sustainably that respects Human rights. The open curriculum design and andragogic program at AIU grants the academic freedom to facilitate such a pledge within the framework of a credit based academic program.
