What current event is important to you? In this assignment- you will research a current event and write about it.

Current Events Course
Due date of assignment: within 7 days.
Description of Course: You choose an issue in the news that relates to your major. The issue can be an international event or one in your community.

Here are some examples:
– Recent Research
– Current applications of technology
– Recent climate change news affecting your major
– Education of an issue in your major
– Future job prospects in your major
– An international conference about an issue in your major.

There are many ways to find information. For example- you can find information through the TV- internet- YouTube- magazines- personal interviews and radio. Yes- you could even interview somebody in the news.

You submit the essay under a course name that describes the current event. For example- if your major is Civil Engineering- a possible title for the course could be Current Research in Civil Engineering.

Assignment Instructions:
Prepare a 6-12-page essay about the current news. The assignment must include a cover page- introduction to the subject- conclusion and a bibliography with at least 3 sources. Remember- you must submit an assignment each month to stay active in your AIU program.
