The expected growth of this major is a 5% growth from 2019 – 2029 which is a faster growth than the average of all other occupations, according to the BLS. There continues to be an increase of demand for biomedical engineers to work with medical staff specifically to use new technologies in equipment and devices for baby boomers’ medical procedures like hip and knee replacements as well as other health advances to cure other diseases.
