Dear Future AIU students,
With this letter I would like to summarize my experiences and the background why I finally signed in at AIU.
For many years I was looking for a distance learning program to deepen my educational experience and to continuously learn new subjects. The difficulty I experienced was that most of the programs did not provide the courses I was looking for and/ or onsite visits were permanently required which is very difficult if you are in your daily working environment.
Then I found the AIU program. After my first research of the program I thought it might exactly what I am looking for,
· as the curriculum can be individually structure to satisfy everybody’s own needs,
· the pace of the progress can be individualized
· no onsite visits are required
· Quick turnaround time after submittal of any documents.
Then finally I signed in and had a good call with a tutor to verify whether this program fits to my needs and shortly afterwards I got started. The first couple of assignments were really challenging in light of self-disciple and to understand actually the grading system as well as to receive first feedbacks and grades. After that and after finally defining my own curriculum, I finally got started with my assignments.
Overall the learning experience was great and the set-up helps me a lot and I highly recommend the university. However before starting, ensure that you have sufficient self-disciple, continuously submit assignments and be convinced that you want to learn more in your subject and deepen your knowledge. If these things are in place then you are ready to go.
Especially I would like to point out the great support during the course of studies by the assigned advisors and tutors. I assume once a while they had a tough time, however I got immediate feedback and support whenever needed. This was very helpful to successfully complete my studies and graduate.
I am looking forward to applying my new skills and knowledge in my profession.
